Direct Shipping post-Brexit

Increasingly exporters are availing of new direct shipping routes that have come on stream over the past number of months. The shipping industry have made huge efforts to ensure that Irish exporters can avail of direct sailings to the continent as an alternative to using the UK landbridge.

As of March 2021 there are 68 RoRo freight sailings per week between Ireland and the continent, which includes sailings by Irish Ferries, Stena Line, DFDS, Brittany Ferries and CLDN offering both accompanied and unaccompanied freight.
