The Irish Exporters Supper Club is a series of exclusive dinners in association with, aimed at providing a platform for Chief Executives, Managing Directors and Business Leaders to connect around exporting.

On the 18th September, the inaugural Supper Club dinner took place at the British Ambassador’s Residence. Over 30 senior business professionals came together to discuss Ireland as a place to do business, exporting and global mobility.

Pat Gilroy, former Gaelic footballer, former Dublin manager and all-Ireland medallist addressed guests on the night as well host HE. Dominick Chilcott, British Ambassador to Ireland. Simon McKeever, Chief Executive of the Irish Exporters Association and Fidelma McGuirk, CEO of also spoke at the event.

On February 12th, 2015 The Irish Exporters Association (IEA), together with the Embassy of the United States of America and, night hosted a Data Protection Forum & Dinner which addressed the ongoing concerns of data protection and privacy issues. Guest speaker Daniel Weitzner, Director of the MIT CSAIL Decentralized Information Group and former United States Deputy Chief Technology Officer for Internet Policy in the White House covered a range of challenges and offered practical advice to meet privacy and security issues. The event which took place at the U.S. Ambassador’s Residence in the Phoenix Park brought together 50 guests from across the export industry.

The Forum provided a unique platform for exporters to strengthen their existing links between Ireland and the US and drive Ireland’s on-going engagement in discussions around bilateral Trade and Investment opportunities and policy.

In attendance were representatives from the Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade, Department of the Taoiseach, Helen Dixon, Data Protection Commissioner as well as Irish companies exporting to the US and US companies with a presence in Ireland.
