“We very much welcome today’s announcement of a €1 billion ISIF Scale-Up Capital Programme. Government has listened to the IEA’s sustained lobbying on this issue and it sends a strong signal that Government is serious about helping Irish-owned businesses grow into larger, internationally competitive companies. It gives our strongest indigenous exporters a clear, deliverable route to grow into €100 million, €500 million and, ultimately, €1 billion companies, alongside our continued success in attracting FDI, and we look forward to supporting ISIF in co-ordination with Enterprise Ireland as it brings this programme to life.

We will continue to make the case for a State-backed Export Credit Insurance scheme, which we believe would further strengthen Irish exporters’ ability to compete internationally. But today’s announcement is a genuine step forward, and we want to acknowledge it as such.”
