Navigating New EU Regulations: PPWR & CBAM Webinar

Understanding the new EU rules and what they mean for Irish exporters, in partnership with Repak

EU regulations are introducing new requirements that will have a significant impact on businesses across a wide range of sectors. Join the Irish Exporters Association for a practical briefing on the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), and what these changes mean for your organisation.

The PPWR will affect businesses involved in manufacturing, importing, retail, e-commerce, hospitality, healthcare and other sectors across the packaging supply chain. With key provisions already taking effect from 12 August 2026, now is the time to understand the new requirements and prepare for the changes ahead.

Zoe Kavanagh, CEO of Repak, will provide an overview of PPWR, including key obligations, practical implications and what businesses need to consider as they adapt to the new regulatory landscape. She will also outline how Repak is supporting businesses in navigating the new compliance requirements and Ireland’s transition to a circular economy.

The session will also include an update on CBAM, with Arne Mielken, Managing Director of Customs Manager, covering the latest requirements and what they mean for businesses involved in trade between the EU and third countries.
