IEA announces 70 shortlisted entries for 2023 Export Industry Awards

The Irish Exporters Association, the voice of the Export Industry in Ireland, announces 70 entries across 10 categories shortlisted for the 2023 Export Industry Awards. The IEA’s flagship black tie event of the year will welcome over 500 export industry leaders, professionals, and international dignitaries, where they will be entertained by none other than mentalist, Keith Barry.

10 category winners and the overall 2023 Exporter of the Year, sponsored by KPMG, will be announced at the 21st Export Industry Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner on Friday, 22nd September 2023 at the Convention Centre, Dublin.

Commenting on today’s announcement, Simon McKeever, Chief Executive of the Irish Exporters Association, stated: “I am delighted to announce today that 70 entries have been shortlisted across 10 categories for our 2023 Export Industry Awards. In its 21st year, the Export Industry Awards recognise the tremendous achievements of companies working in international trade, in Ireland.

Throughout this first stage of the judging process, our independent panel was very impressed by the high calibre of entries. This year, we have seen how businesses that align themselves with the values of environmentally and socially conscious consumers, position themselves well for long-term success in a rapidly changing global marketplace. Exporters are witnessing the value of adopting ESG practices and how they can help access new markets, lower costs, and increase brand awareness.

As ever, I want to extend a heartfelt thanks to our Platinum and Category sponsors, for their continued support which allows us to run our flagship event. A special thank you and appreciation to Mr Aidan Cotter, Chair, and our panel of independent judges for the time and effort they give the judging process.

To our shortlisted businesses, the very best of luck to all of you. I look forward to seeing you at our black-tie Export Industry Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner on September 22nd, as well as welcoming you to our Alumni Masterclass hosted by Trinity Business School, Trinity College Dublin on Monday, 19th June.”

About the 2023 Export Industry Awards

The 21st edition of the Irish Exporters Association’s Export Industry Awards is the premier event for recognising the achievements of Irish Exporters and has been growing in strength and recognition each year. It is important that we highlight the exporting companies and service providers who have excelled across the industry despite some difficult trading conditions and that we highlight these companies who have been fundamental to Ireland’s success.

Exporting businesses have been an essential part of Ireland’s global success despite incredibly difficult international trade conditions in recent years. The Export Industry Awards allows us to celebrate those Irish businesses that continue to succeed in an increasingly uncertain world. Over 500 export industry professionals will attend the black-tie gala event on September 22nd at the Convention Centre, Dublin. Platinum Sponsors: KPMG and Trinity Executive Education, Trinity Business School, Trinity College Dublin. Category Sponsors: Bord Bia, Dixon International Transport, Enterprise Ireland, UrbanVolt, Thyme-IT, Ace Express Freight, with media partner, the Business Post.
