Irish Exporters Association partner with Rhenus Logistics, Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail and Fleet Transport Magazine to roll out 2021 Export Series of online events

The Irish Exporters Association (IEA) in partnership with Rhenus Logistics, Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail and Fleet Transport Magazine has launched its 2021 Export Series. Through a year-long series of webinars, membership network groups and newsletters, the 2021 series focuses on supporting exporters with new trading arrangements with the UK, particularly preparing members for the UK’s phased import controls coming into effect on 1 April and 1 July, while also drawing exporters’ attention to wider markets for their goods, such as the US market and ensuring that members are up to speed and prepared for various sustainability policies that will come into force and alter business practices.

Chief Executive of the IEA Simon McKeever said: “We are delighted to again partner with Rhenus Logistics, Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail and Fleet Transport Magazine to roll out our 2021 Export Series of events. I would like to thank our partners for their continuing commitment to us and for the support they give to Irish exporters. Our year-long series, which is completely online, allows us to touch base with our members on a regular basis through our five Regional Network Groups. These groups bring together manufacturers from the exporting industry and gives them a platform to engage directly with us and other members to find and develop specific solutions to challenges facing manufactures on a day-to-day basis. Our webinars will address the issues facing the exporting, importing and supply chain community and give our members access to the relevant representatives to directly pose questions and receive answers. I look forward to another successful year ahead and continuing to work closely with our partners.”

Declan Sinnott, Managing Director, Rhenus Logistics Ltd stated: “Rhenus Logistics is delighted to continue its support of the IEA Export Series in 2021. The programme of webinars and Regional Network groups covering Brexit, trade compliance, sustainability in the supply chain, Covid-19 and market diversification is best placed to provide exporters with a platform to overcome their business challenges, collaborate and cooperate in these uncertain times.”

Glenn Carr, General Manager Rosslare Europort & Rail Freight says: “Irish Rail are delighted to work again with the Irish Exporters Association and be part of the Export Series for 2021. This is a fantastic opportunity for us to demonstrate the potential and uniqueness of our Rail Freight, Navigator Road Agency and Rosslare Europort businesses. Through this year’s webinars we will showcase Rosslare Europort which is now Ireland’s number one port for direct RoRo services to Europe and how our new rail freight strategy will offer Irish industry the opportunity to lowering their CO2 emissions, look for “greener” and more ”efficient” transport solutions by exploring the possibilities of new rail and connected sea routes to and from Ireland. “

Jarlath Sweeney, Editor Fleet Magazine commented: The IEA’s Export Series has become a must attend series of events in order to keep abreast of ongoing developments with anything to do with issues relating to imports and exports as well as related issues such as Brexit and the Covid-10, which continues to affect trade. The online events are interesting, informative and provide a network platform that has been missed during the lockdown periods. The webinars offered also dovetail seamlessly with the Regional Network Group meetings held. Fleet Transport, as media partners with the IEA is pleased to continue this good relationship and help promote their activities to a broad circulation base.”
