Simon McKeever, Chief Executive, Irish Exporters Association commented: “Every business, whether an exporter or service provider, an SME or multinational, will be reliant on a functioning and frictionless supply chain. Now in its third year, the IEA’s Supply Chain Series provides a platform for companies to connect, learn how to manage risk and protect their business from an increasingly uncertain international trading environment while maximising the vast opportunities of digitisation and new technologies in global trading. The IEA is delighted to be continuing our partnership with Rhenus Logistics, Iarnród Éireann – Irish Rail, and media partner Fleet Transport again this year. Redesigned for 2019 to target specific topics that concern exporting businesses across the country, this year’s Supply Chain Series continues to offer our members with a platform for exchanging wide-ranging views with industry experts as well as Government and State Agencies representatives.
Glenn Carr, General Manager Freight Rail/Road & Rosslare Europort and Iarnród Éireann – Irish Rail commented: “The Irish Exporters Association Supply Chain programme offered the opportunity for us to showcase our Rail Freight, Navigator Road Agency and Rosslare Europort businesses. We are delighted to again have been a partner of Supply Chain Ireland in sponsoring the exciting and informative range of events and seminars organised for 2019. In particular, in sponsoring the events this year, we look forward to promoting in particular Rosslare Europort as the gateway port to Europe and the UK.”
Declan Sinnott, Managing Director, Rhenus Logistics Ireland stated: Rhenus Logistics is both proud and excited to continue our sponsorship of the IEA Supply Chain Series for a third year. Over the past two years the series has been a real platform for companies from many and varied industries to demonstrate true innovation and collaboration, share experiences and knowhow as we each take on the challenge of growing our respective businesses in often difficult circumstances. Rhenus Logistics and our colleagues in Avant Air and Sea look forward to supporting and helping IEA members address any challenges that lie ahead in 2019 and beyond.
Jarlath Sweeney, Group Editor/Director, Fleet Transport said: “In today’s world of Supply Chain, it’s not all about efficiency and productivity and all stakeholders involved have to look at their carbon footprint, especially those involved in delivering the products to the final destination. The third series of the IEA Supply Chain Seminars will look at the evolution of the hardware and software involved as we continue to become part of a growing digital era.”
4 IEA Supply Chain Seminars: 4 large seminars will take place in Dublin, Dundalk, Cork and Limerick with case studies from local exporters, experts in industry standards, regulatory and compliance, as well as best practice advice across the supply chain by experts.
4 IEA Exporters Roundtables: By invitations only, these manufacturing roundtables address the key issues exporters face when exporting goods and services from Ireland around the world. Each roundtable will be dedicated to addressing a specific challenge – skills, transport & infrastructure, national competitiveness and warehousing – faced daily by Irish exporters.
6 Supply Chain Webinars: These interactive online seminars will address specific supply chain topics and feature guest speakers from across: AEO, Trade Finance, Revenue Recognition, Invoice Discounting, Cashflow/Working Capital, Customs Awareness, Procurement, Digital Supply Chain & Ireland as a location, Supply Chain Strategy feeding into Business Strategy, Sustainability, Global Supply Chains, Warehousing and Brexit updates.
